Trojan Wins Gold in Men's 1500m FreestyleTrojan Ous Mellouli won the gold medal for his native Tunisia in the 1500m freestyle in 14:40.84. Mellouli beat out Australian Grant Hackett who attempted to win the gold for the third time.

Rebecca Soni, USC's gold medal winner in the women's 200m breastroke, also won a silver in the women's 4x100m medley relay.
Michael Phelps completed his quest for 8 Olympic Golds at Beijing, winning the gold in the 4x100 medley relay. Phelps collected an amazing 16 medals in two Olympics, 14 gold. In Beijing, 7 of the 8 Golds were won in world record time.
The Trojans have now garnered 7 medals in 2008. This is more than some 50 countries competing in Beijing. Stay tuned for more Trojans news from the Beijing Olympics.
