And once you do get there, the first ones on the field and the last ones off, are the Student Managers. Here's my nephew, Matt Burkhard. He and his twin brother, Garth are seniors at USC this fall.

One of the more enjoyable moments of any football practice is meeting up with old friends. Here's a long-time website poster, "FiteOn" his handle obviously chosen for 'Fight On!'

When all was said and done, I caught up with USC Quarterback Mark Sanchez. He is starting to sound like a starting quarterback more and more each day. Sanchez will be a redshirt junior in 2008, his first season at the helm of the Trojan powerhouse team.
